I called Montway on May 4th and explained I needed my 2022 Corvette delivered to Canton Mi by Wednesday May 7th because it was sold. I was told by the gentleman on the phone I could get guaranteed pickup and delivery if I paid extra which would be $1500 dollars.
My vehicle was picked up that Monday as promised, and I assumed it was going to be delivered on time. My mother-in-law informed me it wasn't a trailer that picked up my car. but a flatbed truck. I then got an e-mail stating there was an issue, with the carrier and it was transported to a holding area in Melbourne and couldn't be delivered as I was told.
I immediately called Montway and was told by the customer service agent the only guarantee was my car would be picked up as promised. I now know when the vehicle was picked up you already knew there wasn't a carrier available to transport my car. The right thing to do was notify me they were unable to provide the required service but that didn't happen. I've made numerous calls to your reps but I keep hearing the same message.
They don't know when the car will be shipped to Mi.
I thought I was dealing with a company that provided excellent service and went out the way to exceed customer expectations. I now know I was misled on my first phone call and subsequent calls provided no assistance. I also spoke to a supervisor who repeated the company line there was no guarantee of delivery but only pickup. I call almost every day and I'm told the same message they are doing everything possible to get me a carrier.
I was even told by one rep they had secured a carrier but subsequent phone call to confirm weren't answered by the hauling company. I guess I'm supposed to believe the company has no one answering their phones. When I brough this us to the rep she said they were probably busy, really!. Every time I talk to a rep I get the same response they were doing everything possible to get my vehicle delivered.
Today, I informed next week they may fine a driver, but the agent went on to say no guarantees.
My car is sitting in the sun in Florida, and I have no idea when it will be transported. I know based on previous interaction with your agents this e-mail won't make any difference, but I can always hope.

Deplorable Service
AvaoidWhen Mayhall towing-MDM Inc (Order #999172) picked my Beetle up on 2/11/21 at my condo in Huntsville, it was washed, it was daytime and whatever scratches it had was be clearly visible.
I got a call from the driver at 10 am today 2/13/21, saying that it would be delivered tomorrow morning 2/14/21 and that they'd give me another when they were and hour away. Later the same evening 2/13/21, I got a call from another driver that could not speak clear English, I thought he was Spanish so I had my Spanish daughter in law talk to him to try and make sense of what he was trying to say. After 30 minutes and frustration, I could make out that he was going to drop it off at 8-9 this evening, 2/13/21. I got another call from the same broken English speaking driver saying he was 25 minutes out. I said please call me when you get down stairs because I can't understand you!
He arrived in the dead of dark, the car was muddy as *** even on the roof. I told him, I can't verify if there weren't any additional scratches on my car because its too dark and I can't see anything because of the MUD!
And when I tried to pay him, he was surprised. National movers booked this transport company and they told me in an email that I was to pay him 1,325.00 upon delivery, I'm as confused as the no English speaking driver.
The level of service that I've received from Montway Transport has been deplorable.

This is how they treat American Soldiers.
I was also given a 5-day window when the vehicle would be picked up. On day 4, I was given a call that my vehicle would be picked up and was also told that the price went up. Wait, Mont way and I agreed on a specific price for door to door service. The new location for pick up is 3 hours away from the door-to-door price agreed upon.
I would not consider this a door-to-door service Is this how you treat Soldiers? I had no choice but to pay the additional $300 ($1149) because I am deploying overseas in a few days. My next step is to blacklist them and inform other Soldiers not to use them for their false advertisement when agreeing upon a door to door shipping price.
Thanks, Montway Auto Transport for the false service you provide for military Soldiers that serve this nation. They held the price until a carrier is assigned then jack it up.

Idiots
First got a quote. Next day to have them get my car, jacked the price $200.
Assigned driver quickly. 1-2 days for pickup. Took 6. The drivers truck went down (so I was told).
E-mailed after 8 days a new transport company issued. (yesterday). (original driver was under investigation.) Today (24th) was told original driver has vehicle and is in Nebraska. WTF.
I still don't know where my car is or who has it. Run by a bunch of idiots

So I took the cars for $600, then decided let me give $300 back oneach vehicle. Oh but it’s only 1 now.
Gas is $180 per 600 miles, toll is $128. I have a 2 car trailer, even with 2 cars it makes no sense that I would take the job. Better yet 1, I lose money.
If the revise is not enough please go to the audio. This is not going away fair is fair and next stop will be legal actions
Even the revision makes no sense
They send me over a revised contract for $300. The mistake I made is I signed after being notified I must sign the revise contract. It was only supposed to take the one car off. Long story short no supervisor will get on the phone with me, for 3 weeks now you only get first names & no one will give me a name for a supervisor.
They record all calls so all they have to do is go to the recording (which I’m sure they did). Job was posted at $300 for 1 car, (which was already gone) $350 for the 1 I picked up. I told them I can get both for $600 a Pc they called 2 days later and said the offer was excepted. But now they are saying it was $600 for the 2 cars.
Basically I told them to take $50 off I don’t need it I will do it for less then you are offering.
This is a classic “switch and bait”. Show the audio tape!

GARBAGE
BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT GO ELSEWHERE HORRIBLE SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM ANYONE.
If I could select no stars I would have. I asked to have a Honda pilot shipped from CA to MN and was told it would be picked up on Wednesday and delivered by the following tue or wed (costing me over $1200). Then when they assigned a driver I called to verify and the driver said no way until the following fri. So I called back to montway and they dropped that company and called with a new one called interstate roadrunner Inc.
they said it would be there the following wed or thur am at the latest. I bought plane tickets and planned around all of these dates they said would be no problem. Being military and not having a lot of time to play with I thought no problem it’s only a 21-23 hr drive and they can drive 11 hrs. a day at least.
So I fly to MN on that Monday stay until thur midday. I call Montway tue they say everything is good for the afternoon on wed. Call wed because they seem to be very deceiving on the phone and guess what won’t be there till thur morning. Call again wed afternoon to once again make sure because I have a flight to catch and oh it wont make it truck got a flat in Nebraska.
Never once did they call me only me calling them and it was nope wont make it thur morning but it will be there thur afternoon. I also had to have the person I was shipping the car for take the days off work expecting the car to arrive. (More money wasted) At this point I am tired of talking to Montway because all they do is say oh its never guaranteed and there is nothing they can do. Blah blah blah the worst customer service I have ever had with a company and I am a very patient person, just wanted the truth.
So here we are thur afternoon at this point I am only talking to Interstate roadrunner inc. After I have flown back to CA and interstate roadrunner says oh it will be there Friday, so not able for the person receiving the vehicle to take another day off work I say ok please deliver at 530pm on Friday. Call Friday to confirm delivery and guess what they don’t have a truck to deliver it this truck broke too but you can drive 45-60 min to us and get it! Are you serious?
. Beyond upset at this point I ask if I can have money taken off bill for the delays and hassle oh but that guy went home for the weekend and unless you want to wait till Monday to get your car and talk to the guy who can take money off then we can do that. So I said no I want my car, can you deliver it on sat at 530pm due to the person receiving it having to work again they said yes no problem. I call sat at lunch time to make sure again that they will deliver yes no problem 1 hr later driver calls barely speaking English wanting someone for pick up earlier than 530pm.
so after telling them no and telling them it must be there at 530pm they decided to deliver, then asked the person receiving for a price $70 higher than what was agreed upon. It was to the point that if it did not show up or they made another excuse I was going to report it stolen.
I am amazed in our day and age with technology and competency that this went so bad. Why not have tracking on the trucks oh I know because then you can really see what they are doing.

Montway's Deceitful Practices
My car was unusually late. The driver had lame excuses, but I was patient a few extra days.
My Mercedes arrived after being shipped cross country. The driver arrived a a lot nearby my construction job and had me show up 30 minutes later so the car was already off the carrier, it had been driven a bit, and the windows were open. Seemed odd, but after a cursory look, seemed OK. The driver oddly refused a $20 tip and hurried off.
Two days later the car began to smell very musty and moldy. I found small shards of glass on the floor and then noticed my children's school decals were missing off the rear window. Turns out that the window had been shattered and replaced without my knowledge and the car had been exposed to the weather (rain !!). Montway refuses any responsibility for the trucker they booked.
Shame on you MONTWAY for trying to cheat and deceive your customer. #Montwayripoff #Montwaywillfuldeceit

Our transport job worked out to satisfaction
I actually loved the diagram that was created before the driver loaded my auto, showing any prior scratches or marks with a little symbol. I did not have to worry about photo-documenting the condition of my auto. The driver was very professional in loading, and confirming paperwork.
Initially was taken aback that a driver was assigned and called my contact phone number just an hour after I booked online - and before I had a chance to even see the email bill of lading or make my arrangements to be there. Was trying to load up that same night.
Things were arranged better after a call to the company. They promised I would get at least 48 hours notice the next time, something you may wish to request when you book. We were given the drivers direct number. We worked out the rest of the pick up just fine.
The driver stayed in touch about his ETA.
Auto was delivered fine. I could certainly recommend this company to others.

Destroying the motor washing all the oil out of the engine dry cranking the engine the owner at pickup location in California said he couldn’t beleive it was yelling at them he was furious
What kind of companny hires idiots like this I just started useing you I shipped 3 cars this past month please call me tell me what your going to do about this now I sit and wait because these fools probably going to take it off 5 times before it gets to me truck engine will be junk please call me before plaster this on the Internet with your name on it Horribble !!!!

Montway Defrauds Customers
Montway and it's assignee damaged my vehicle in transit, lied about it by covering it up and now the car reeks of mold. Got the sorry for the "inconvenience" (can u believe it??!!) from Karla, Executive Claims Coordinator Phone: 224.300.5393 and they refuse to help or have any responsibility. You can fill out a form.
This could have been easily handled, even the IRS has better customer service.

Military People Stay Away!
This company will steal you blind! They say they give you a military discount of like $50.
They say they will pick up and deliver as promised. They wont! I was very clear on what the earliest day was that they could pick up my sons car for delivery they called me the night before and said they were there to get it. I could not get there to meet the driver 24 hours before the agreed upon date.
3 weeks later I was still trying to organize a new driver they lied to me and said I would not be able to go with another company because if they found out I had already had contacted Montway they would double the price. They kept promising me they would get a driver to pick up the car. My son is a Marine at 29 Palms he just wants to be able to get off base with some of his friends before deployment. Montway would call and say a truck was on its way then cancel 1 hour before they were supposed to show up!
No one speaks English clearly. Not one person!!! They LIED to us over and over. I have 2 sons in the military and I would ask anyone that is even considering using this company to think twice!
I ended up paying $200 more because they kept changing the date! So there is no military discount!!! I got the distinct impression they enjoyed sticking it to my son. I will NEVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS company to anyone!
They called me constantly to make sure I emailed them the verification every time they increased how much they were going to charge me.
Other than that I have not heard or received an email from them regarding when the car is actually going to arrive. We have had to call the trucker directly. This last time before the pick-up I was told the car would get there on a Wed. or Thursday now we find out it is not till the following Monday!
If nothing else there is a whole bunch of Marines planning to open up a trucking company to transport cars for military personal when they our done serving our country.
One that will not screw military people over and their families! Please pass this along to all military personal.
I know I have been sharing my HORRIBLE Experience with this company to anyone and everyone!
OH Almost forgot!!! I was told when I wanted to change companies that there are NO REFUNDS!!!
Broker
Montway is a broker, they don’t care about anyone’s vehicle. They offer cheap transportation to gain customers, contracts jobs on a dispatch site to any carrier that will take it for cheap.
You get what you pay for. Most drivers have 1 truck insured and 7trailers running???
You want cheap unreliable transport use Montway! They’ll take care of you!
I refuse to do job under them I’m a specialist in enclosed transportation you pay for reliable transportation.

The driver montway contracted with arrived earlier than we agreed at the drop off point. He refused to wait for us to arrive at our scheduled time.
He then drove to another city. We contacted him and offered to pay him for his time driving back to the original drop off point. He refused. We had to drive over two hundred miles rountrip to get the car.
My sons credit card info was stolen at the truck stop the driver was at. Montway is terrible.

They picked up my purchase and delivered it to my home ahead of schedule. Very detailed inspection.
My only concern was their truck and trailer had no tags.
When asked the rep said their truck and trailer were new but when arrived that claim was false. Still a good job.
Won't reccommend and will never use again.
I booked an order with them confirmed on Monday. Heard nothing from them through Friday, so I called them.
After a little checking on the phone another agent came on and said the reason for his call ( I called them) was to give me options on my transport. He told me that he could have it picked up for me today and have it delivered either later that evening or the next day, but it would cost me an extra $150.00. I was pissed right away, as I was already paying their stated price for the job, then they couldn't even keep it straight on their little "bait & switch" game who called who. I told them how worthless they were and canceled my order.
I would highly recommend not getting involved with them.
They are a transport "broker". They charge you a price, contract your load with an independent at a lower price, then pocket the difference plus whatever extra they can get you to pay.
There is nothing they can do to help me, I refused to do business with them.
